Why are most automatic actions marked low or medium confidence, and how do I get more reliable results?

The app finds actions by following your player and the ball through the video. That is hard from a single camera: the ball is small, players block each other, and the camera moves. So for each action it finds on its own, the app checks the evidence: was your player followed by the tracker without a break, was the ball actually seen (not just guessed), and is the attack direction known when it matters. Missing a must-have check makes it Low; missing one supporting check makes it Medium. High is deliberately hard to reach with one wide camera, and presses are capped at Medium. The note on each action in the report says why. Actions from an event log you add keep the confidence you gave them.

To get more reliable results:

How long does the analysis take?

Finding and following every player is the slow step. On a GPU server (a computer built for this kind of work) it takes about 20 to 40 minutes for a full match, plus 2 to 4 minutes for that server to start. When Amazon (AWS) has no GPU free, the app uses a regular server instead, which takes about 1 to 2 hours. The progress bar tells you which one is being used. You can close the page and come back; the match stays in your list.

Why does it say "No player was found where you tapped"?

The app only knows the players it detected in the video, checked a few times per second. If you tap where it did not see anyone, it cannot start. This happens when the player is far away and very small, partly hidden behind someone else, blurred by fast camera movement, or when the tap lands on empty grass next to them. Pick a moment where your player is clearly visible and not overlapping anyone, and tap on their body. Adding taps at other moments also helps.

What videos and links can I use?

Links to pages that only play a video (rather than the file itself) usually do not work.

Can I analyse another player from the same match without uploading again?

Yes. On the report screen tap "Analyse another player in this match". The video and the tracking of all players are reused, so you just tap the new player and fill in their details. It is much quicker than the first one.

Is the video kept?

The original video is backed up, and the copy on the app's server is deleted 30 days after that backup. The reports, the short clips used in them, and the list of tagged actions are kept so you can open past reports.

Is footage of the children shared with anyone?

No. Videos, clips and reports stay in the club's own Amazon Web Services (AWS) account in Australia (the Sydney region). The analysis runs on the club's own servers there. The footage is not sent to other companies or posted anywhere public.

Who can see my reports?

Each account sees only its own matches and reports. Club admins manage accounts (for example give out invite codes) but cannot open other people's reports; only the club's super admin can see every report. To share a report, open it and tap Share PDF: your phone offers Messages, WhatsApp, Gmail, WeChat and your other apps. On a computer, use the PDF button to download it and attach it yourself.

How does signing in work?

You sign in with a username and password, then a second step to prove it is really you: either a passkey (Face ID, a fingerprint or your phone's screen lock) or a 6-digit code from an authenticator app. Once a passkey is set up, "Sign in with a passkey" works on its own, without the password. New accounts need an invite code from the club admin. If you forget your password or lose your phone, the admin can reset your account; you then choose a new password and second step. Codes by text message are not offered, because they are easier to intercept than a passkey or an authenticator app.

Can I install it on my phone?

Yes. Open the app in your phone's browser and choose "Add to Home Screen" (on iPhone: Safari's Share button; on Android: the Chrome menu). It then opens full screen like a normal app.

What do the scores mean?

Every measure is rated 1 to 5 against the elite U13 target for your player's position: 5 means the elite target was met, 3 to 4 means between typical club level and elite ("near"), 1 to 2 means below club level. Measures are grouped into four pillars, and the overall score weights them Technical 35%, Tactical 30%, Psychological 20%, Physical 15%. A 3 is a solid club player; a 5 is very demanding at this age. The user guide explains it in full.

Can I compare players in different positions?

Not really. Each position has different measures and targets, so a 3.5 for a centre-back and a 3.5 for a winger are not measuring the same things. Comparing the same player over several matches in the same position is much more useful. Even then, remember that one match can be a good or bad day, and how much the camera captured varies.

The report seems wrong. What should I do?

What is an event log, and do I need one?

An event log is a spreadsheet (.xlsx or .csv) listing your player's actions: the video time, an action code such as PS for a short pass, whether it worked (S or U), and optionally the area of the pitch, whether an opponent was close, a confidence level and a note. You do not need one, but without it the report covers only what the app can spot on its own. The action codes are listed in the glossary.

My child only played part of the match. Is that fair?

Yes. Targets that are counts (like the number of presses) are for a full 70-minute match and are scaled down to the minutes your player was on the pitch. Success rates (like pass completion) do not depend on minutes. You can type the minutes played under "More options" if the app's estimate is off.

Where do the elite U13 targets come from?

From a rubric put together from coaching guidance for elite U13 football (11 v 11, two halves of 35 minutes). They are practical guidance, not validated scientific norms, and some are numbers standing in for words like "frequent". Use the report to start a conversation with the coach, not as a final judgement on a 12-year-old.

I'm a coach. Can I get reports for the whole team at once?

Yes. After uploading the match, choose Whole team on step 2. Type your squad list once (number, name, position; it is kept for your next matches). Then, on 2 or 3 frames per half, tap each of your players and choose their name, and tap them again after a substitution. Players you don't tap are left out. One button builds every player's report and a team report: the squad's scores side by side, averages by position group, what most of the squad does well, the three biggest team-wide gaps with a drill for each, and action counts per player. The team report can be shared as a PDF like any other report. The app can't read shirt numbers on its own, because they are too small in a wide match video, which is why you tap each player.

My child played more than one position in the match. How is that scored?

Choose the position they started in, then under Changed position during the match? add each change with its video time (for example "Defensive midfielder from 21:00"). In Whole team mode, pick the player in the same box. Each part of the match is then scored against the elite targets for the position played in it, with count targets scaled to the minutes in that part. The report shows a scorecard for each position, and the overall score weights the parts by minutes. A short spell in a position gives a small sample, so read that scorecard with care.
